Mom, can we weed the hostas? Now, I am not stupid. When my son and his friend Jack ask if they can weed the hostas, I know they really just want to play with Andy's garden tools and dig in the garden. So I knew to set down some ground rules. First, you cannot use the hose. Second, make sure that you are only digging up weeds and not hostas. No burying any hostas and no digging of deep holes. As you can see from the picture that while I was busy digging compost out of my bins, they broke all of the rules!
