Who says you can't grow peaches in Minnesota?

Check out this baby I just picked - and he is pretty average size of the ones I have.

In case you can't read the scale, it says that it weighs 9.5 oz - that's over a half a pound! It's about 3.25 inches round.

Here it is next to a tennis ball - much bigger (and tastier!)

  1. Are they getting sweeter? I'm so excited to see your harvest--I just found out that we can grow peaches here, too, so I plan to add a tree next spring.

Excellent! I'm looking for a tree for our front yard, curious where you found your peach tree and where you have it planted.

    How exciting!

  3. They are definitely sweet now that they are ripe!

I have it planted in my back yard. See my post from today to see where I ordered it from.

  4. Hi Kathi, I am a stylist in Minnesota, we have a photo shoot next week and will be in need of a small clipping with a few leaves off of a peach tree, we will be reaching out to the big growers... but it sure would be nice to find them locally and fresh. We would be able to compensate you! please let me know if you can help make our product photo fabulous! j--
